About

Al Bell built record labels the way other people build cities — one artist, one song, one risk at a time. He ran Stax Records during its most explosive run, went on to serve as president of Motown, and built Bellmark Records into a chart-topping independent force — trading friendly competition along the way with contemporaries like Ichiban and Wrap Records, labels that were writing their own chapter of the same story.

This isn't a museum. The music didn't stop, and neither did we.

Al Bell Presents is where that catalog lives now — out loud, in motion, and on your back. Every shirt in this store pulls straight from the labels themselves: the hits, the risk-takers, the records that made rooms move before anyone outside the South knew their names. Bellmark. Ichiban. Wrap. Three different labels, three different eras, one throughline — great music finds its way through, with or without permission.

We're just getting started. More releases, more stories, more of the catalog are on the way. For now: wear the history. It's still being written.
